Babelgum Music Video Awards
Voting has now started for the Babelgum Music Video Awards!
Music Nation and Babelgum.com have launched the 2008 Babelgum Music Video Awards to seek out the top Indie Music acts.
We have asked the public to judge artists based on their musical ability and video quality. Prizes include mobile awards, a live performance in the UK and a record development deal with Universal Music UK!
Submissions have now closed. Vote and help your favourites launch their careers.
HOW TO VOTE
- Votes are cast via the Babelgum Video Player
- If you have not yet installed the Babelgum Player, you need to so in order to cast your vote – it’s free and quick to install.
- Once you’re inside the Babelgum player, go to the Search bar and type in the name of your favourite band/artist or the title of the video.
- You can vote for your favourite(s) within the Music Video Awards Channel and Community.
- When the clip starts playing the “Vote” button will appear on the time bar next to "More Info". Just click on that button.
- You will get a message saying that your vote has been saved.
- Don’t forget that you can vote only once per video per day.
HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS
- Entry is now closed. However, if you have signed up to enter the competition before 16th November and your Media was rejected due to technical issues, you still have a chance to take part in the contest. You can re-upload your work up until 22nd December.
- Four rounds of direct voting will run from 18th till Jan 7th
- Votes are cast via the Babelgum Video Player
- You (and all your friends) can vote for your band by coming back to this page from November 18th
- You can only vote once per video per day
- At the end of each round, the top 9 vote-getters will move on to the Semi-Finals.
- Industry experts will select 1 band as an “Insider Pick” during each round, making for a total of 10 bands advancing in each voting round
- Vote totals are reset after every round, so don’t give up!
- On January 7th the 40 bands that have advanced will be featured in the Semi-Finals.
- During the Semi-Finals, votes are all reset and during the following 20 days we will take direct votes through the Babelgum Video Player
- On January 27th the top 10 vote-getters from this round will go to the Finals. The top-vote getter at the end of this round on January 27th will win an opening slot at a gig in the UK.
- In the Finals, our panel of celebrity judges will select the Grand Prize winner
- The winner will be announced on February 6th.
