Whether you realize it or not, Chevrolet is woven into the fabric of our collective unconscious. It’s as American as apple pie; familiar as Uncle Sam.
For decades, the world’s most noteworthy musicians have documented an appreciation for this great icon in some way or another. Now, it’s YOUR turn.
Drop the name “Chevrolet” or “Chevy” into an original composition (either in an all new song, or one you’ve already written), and, if you win, your song will be featured alongside music’s most legendary names in Chevrolet Legends: Volume 2. Chevy’s printing 500,000 copies and distributing it throughout Europe — for you, that kind of exposure could be priceless!
Ultimately, Chevrolet will be picking that winner… but we’re turning on the Head-2-Head voting two weeks before the end of the competition to award the #1 song in the standings a fat $500 check; that’s some serious gas money.
STEP 1 – ENTERING THE COMPETITION
If you’ve just come through sign-up, you’re already entered. Otherwise, click ENTER NOW in the control bar above.
STEP 2 – SONGWRITING
Write a song, or amend a song you already have, to include the words “Chevrolet” OR “Chevy”. Sure, Chevrolet will be electing a Grand Prize winner to make it onto the CD, but that doesn’t mean you should write a song like, “Chevrolet Makes the Best Cars in the World.” Far from it. You can use the words “Chevrolet” or “Chevy” in ANY context you’d like!
STEP 3 - UPLOADING YOUR WORK It's pretty easy actually, just click UPLOAD MEDIA in the control panel on your right. It'll walk you through the process from there.
STEP 4 - GETTING IT INTO THE HEAD-TO-HEAD PLAYER Now that you've uploaded your clip, click SELECT MEDIA in the control bar at the top, to let the system know that's the song you want in the competition and you're good to go!
STEP 5 - CHECKING THE MAIN COMPETITION PAGE The direct address is http://chevrolet.musicnation.com, or you could click the Chevrolet logo at the very top left of your screen, but we'll also link to it from the http://chevrolet.musicnation.com homepage. From there, once it's open, you can check out the Head-2-Head player and the standings.
