Overview
Ingrid Michaelson, whose music has been featured on numerous television shows (most notably Grey's Anatomy and One Tree Hill) as well as the Old Navy Fall 2007 Fair Isle Sweater advertising campaign, wants to see who can best belt out her most recognizable track "The Way I Am."
Gibson has joined Ingrid in her quest by setting up a contest hosted by us. If you don't know who we are, simply put: Music Nation is a global online independent music community, that harnesses the power of the web to give musicians the opportunity to share their talent, build a worldwide fan base and be discovered. If all that sounds good, first register and then make sure to build a profile (if you haven't done either) so you can enter this contest and win a sweet, autographed Gibson guitar.
Before entering, make sure to record Ingrid's track "The Way I Am" because it's the only song that will be accepted for entry (any other recording is not eligible).
No instruments necessary — all we really need is you singing "The Way I Am."
An MP3 recording of the track is acceptable, but video is best…so, dust off that camcorder or turn your digital camera on film mode and capture your performance. Once you have either a video or an MP3 of your rendition, upload it to your Music Nation profile and you are ready to enter! After you enter, you have to designate "The Way I Am" as your official entry song, which you do by hitting the "select media" button in your profile.

Voting begins June 16th in the Head 2 Head player located in the main contest area — get there by clicking on the Gibson's "The Way I Am" logo on the left side of the banner.
There, your performance will randomly go against other contestants and viewers get their chance to choose who they like best. Make sure to tell all your friends and fans to hit the head-to-head voting area, find your version of "The Way I Am" and VOTE! After the head-to-head vote and our "insiders" picks, only 20 entries will make it to the finals. From there, Ingrid will choose the winner.
