My guide to how to F up a record deal. 4 was a band and is now, I guess me. The band is no more. When finding extremely talented people to work with make sure they can all sit in the same room together without bloodshed. Some of you may remember the BODOG contest where we were placing 7th in the nation. The band fell apart just in time to perform. I just received an offer for a tour followed by a - recording contract with Second City Records. No band, no tour, no contract. Shame isn't it? Producing and teaching music is all I've been doing lately. I'm honored that Ainjel Emme and a few others on this site let me remix their music. Ainjel gets to work with one of my hero's, Mr. Maynard James Keenan so it is a special privilege for her to allow me to work with her music. She is currently working on her new solo CD with Matt Noveskey of Blue October fame. I probably could have gotten along better with Mr. Trent Reznor (see "Only less concerned mix" for more info) if I had approached the situation differently. (Like be sober and have patience.) But the past is gone and I will look to the future. I've started taking guitar lessons (My first lessons, how cute. Really, I'm self taught, I have never sat down for a lesson until now.) Mr. Eric Stadler is my mentor (Google him, you wont be disappointed.) I shall come back better if Mr. Stadler doesn't strangle the crap outta me. Peace

Congrats to "Rantings of Eva"!!!I also wanna say congrats to everyone in this comp for getting heard and getting the recognition that you all deserve. I know I at times displayed my emotions in ways that was not cool. But it's all in the growing up department, and we all evolved from this.
Just keep keeping it real, and we will once again (soon I hope), be side by side in our quest for success and being HEARD!
Here's another idea for being heard!
There's a new page on MN called "Collaboration Nation" for the listing of music that are collabs between 2 or more artists on MN.
It's not just there you can be heard, but if you collaborate with other artists in other genres, then your limitations to which contests you can enter just opened up to an endless selection. Use whatever you can to BE HEARD!!!!!
