Anthony Charles "A.C." Cowen started making music at a very young age. As a young child he would dance and sing to songs he heard on the radio. He was able to perfectly match each pitch and rhythm to all types of songs, which amazed his family.
In his teen years he yearned to pursue a career in popular music as he thought his vocal abilities, and overall sound resembled that of pop groups of the time. He constantly heard that his look and sound resembled that image and sound as well. He eventually would be part of three “boy bands”, two of which enjoyed minor success. It was at this time that Anthony adopted the name of “A.C.” a nickname family members had been calling him for years.
Winning talent shows, and almost signing a record deal ensured that this was the professional life for him; and Pop/R&B was his forte. After High School, A.C. enrolled at the University at Albany and joined the all male A Cappella group ‘The Earth Tones’. This served as a great experience for him as they would rehearse and perform vigorously throughout each semester in front of numerous audiences. A high school tour each winter, around and outside of the country, provided the opportunity to build a vast fan base.
As a solo artist A.C. has performed and achieved success in various talent shows, including his hometowns version of American Idol, Westchester Teen Idol. In early 2008 A.C. started a MySpace music page and in under 5 months acquired over 1 million plays, and over 1 million hits, with a vast fan base. He has climbed to the top of the Hit and Urban charts on Clear Channel Radio’s unsigned artist list in just a short period of time, spending 3 weeks straight as the #1 most played artist of the day on both channels and is now in the top 12 all time in both categories.
With influences including Pop, R&B, Jazz, Electronic, Hip Hop, Funk, and Rock, A.C. is looking forward to doing what he does best; wow audiences, and take the music world by storm with infinite dedication, exceptional talent, and a fresh new sound.

Thank you so much for your support. It was close, but we couldnt have done it without you. You are the ones that made this happen for us and we will always support you. I need to take a brake from this site for awhile...when you're leading this thing at 11:45 and then fall completely off in the last few minutes to not even make the top 20 it REALLY hurts...I feel abused and exhausted. THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT!Head 2 Head voting contests are WON or LOST in the last few hours. I was at #20 at 9:30 AM... and had a few friends voting for me these last 2 hours. (I hadn't asked them for any help at all until then.) Within 15 minutes, I was down to @200! How is that even possible?
Even with every band member using software to refresh their screen every 10 seconds, the band should NOT be able to vote enough in the last few hours to rocket up from 200-300, into the top 20. The winners should be based on cumulative votes received. If the band was in the 200-300 range, they obviously *should* have received a LOT less votes to than those with higher numbers.
Yet, we've all watched our songs bounce up and down 100's of spaces in hours. I honestly *still* can't grasp the possibility of the math equation being used... and I was president geek of our math club! *wink*
I leave you all to ponder this... How can bands we barely knew existed vote enough for themselves in the last few hours to negate our gathering votes from our fans for months?
