Today, Alice Stuart in a solo performance is a reflection of her entire career. Part folkie, part rocker, and part blues woman, Alice is all entertainer when she "unplugs" for a solo show.
Alice was one of the first women of rock to front her own band, write her own songs, and sing and play electric lead guitar. Many of Alice's fans still like her best as a solo acoustic performer, where her shy humor shines and her song interpretations and her song writing ability are well displayed. Alice has that rare ability to make any song her own. Two songs that aptly demonstrate this ability are Statesboro Blues (Willie McTell) and I Feel Like Hank Williams Tonight (Chris Wall) On Statesboro Blues, Alice's guitar skills are on full display and when she sings "Hank" there is seldom a dry eye in the house.Blogs
