your vocals sound so very world-worn and wise in this one. it adds such a wonderful depth to the overall feel, which the guitar really brings out. i think the sparseness of the instrumentation really works for this one, as it somehow makes it sound even bigger. it's refreshing to hear a song by a young artist that doesn't sound young at all. much respect, james.
i love it! It sounds like the opening to a big movie or soundtrack. It's pulse generates anticipation and the melody drifts over it like fireworks fading down from the sky.
The number of artist that have written songs longer than 3 to 4 minutes can be counted on ones hand, now I have to include my feet, what an honor it is for me to be able to count past my fingers to now include you in that number.
I like the sound of your guitar in this song, is it a filter or is it your tuning? Very kool song.
Avalon Parade in What's Left of a Broken Sky opens with this acoustic guitat at a pace I feel comfortable with almost like a clock next to me as I listen to James' beautiful tenor accentuate the feeling and pump in vibrancy, "little dreams, little dreams, . . .that remain, . . ." yep this is a beautiful long song. I love it!
