First off lets establish, I like what you are doing and am only going to try to give advice, to how you to get better at it! You know guys, this is PUNK, real PUNK. I love the way the recording is a fucked up mess; that breaks all the rules.... nothing is mic'ed properly or mixed right, nothing technical about it is done properly, its a huge fucking mess, which I dig. I do totally dig that about your music. A lot of bands try to fake this sound... the straight out of the garage thing. I like the sound, the only thing that makes your music work at all, is that you really have, obvious passion and drive to do it. You make it real, in your own minds, you believe in what you are doing!!! Now as far as anything else, this shit could be fucking awesome, if you defined the parts better. All of the songs pretty much do the same thing though, they stay in the same lane and never take a melodic lane change, to define the sections. Lets look at the song Phenomenon. I love the way the guitars come in, real, live, perfect for the genre. The verse is nice as well, vocally. @50 secs where your band changes chords, the vocals stay on the same few notes. I was totally getting into it and was waiting on a change in the chorus. For the genre two (2) sections are OK. A verse and chorus. This song could be a monster hit if there was a melodic change @ that 50 sec mark... A new melodic vocal phrase. Music is tension and release, you build great tension and... almost give me a release, as I was diggin' on the "REAL" sound you have and the energy is there, it shines through the recordings limitations. I like what you are doing, my best advice would be. A. Change the name of the band... I must get 20 tapes a day from bands with a name something like visions or images or Envision ...well you get it. I would call your Band "AuDiO Auswitsch." ... You can use that for free... ;) Its perfect for you guys though. B. If you just add well defined B sections to the songs, I would buy the fucking record... well actually I would download it illegally from somewhere... ;) but I would seek it out. I like the singers voice,don't get ol' balls wrong! Its not the singer its the fact that the songs are drone like, which can be cool, ..but not here, in this context.... But you add an entire band chant or melodic hook into the 2nd part, corus, whatever you wanna' call it, @5o secs. in (PHENOM) and you're good to go! Lets say in your song:Phenomenon, if you had a melodic vocal change @50 secs, this would be over the top cool. I am think about Joan Jett's I love rock and roll for some reason and if you added a band chant in Phenomenon such as she did, that would work big time. Listen to the song as an example, ''I love Rock & Roll" see how she builds tension with the verses... and check out how you can almost taste the chorus... coming... in fact you can't wait to hear it again... " I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL SO PUT ANOTHER DIME IN THE JUKE BOX BABY" ...... well you get it. That was just an example, w/Joan Jett.. it doesn't have to be a chant, just a hooky, somewhat melodic or something different MELODICALLY than the rest of the song! I dig what you are doing, just define song sections better and make the listener crave the hook... and it is a done deal. Cool sound, cool ideas and it comes off as "real"... In brief which is impossible now... change lanes at the chorus's/Hooks and its good to go cause that would give the material added... balls PS; Your Project Reminds me of Social Distortion.
