    BAND=Daryan **** Can't Get Enough
    1st off, I like all genres of music; as a music professional you HAVE TO love all music and be able, to put your personal preferences aside and scan songs on their merit, in the context presented. Its always a mistake to get locked into listening to one and ONLY one genre, as it limits your ability to understand all genres, even Goth bands could learn from Mozart, if they would just open their minds to it. I have even worked with the London & L.A. Phil. as a producer. Its not totally my bag, but it is my job, to see & bring out the best in any musical genre. Without being blinded by MY personal preference's in music You're pop so at least you have defined yourself, that is good. The song shows real potential and you have a smooth sound and vocal delivery, for the genre. My only thought on how to improve a bit would be to, work on making your lyrical phrasing a bit smoother, at times; although its mostly good, try not to have to rush to fit lyrical phrases in a section, make them flow... it only happens once or twice, in the tune, but it distracts from the flow on the piece a bit. Your age isn't listed, but you seem young enough to have a possible "Real Shot," in the pop genre. Not a bad tune at all, just try and make the vocal phrases flow... smoother at times. Also I once heard an A&R rep. say if he heard another song about..."The Look In Someone's eyes he would puke;" as about 20% of the publishers cuts (Vs. Artist Cuts) I receive are something like..."The look In her eyes".... Translation, see if you can't come up with lyrics that are a bit more unique. Like "Prince's little Red Corvette, for instance... I mean, with that Prince lyric, WTF is that all about right away... but its totally unique and catches your attention right away. It (You) reminds me of late 80's pop music, which is no crime at all. Also you will need to up your production game a bit before you can release this stuff, for radio play. Since you know the material and its probably in a midi file set in a computer that can be taken to a really nice studio, (along with all your tone modules or better ones they might have) to record and mix at... and I do mean a 1st class .... TOTALLY 1st class studio. That way you get the use of a million dollars worth of mixers, gear and GOOD MIC's, like $5000.00 mics, that you would not have access to otherwise... to give the vocals, that really clear intimate sound as vocals are what this genre is all about. You and the midi files with a nice studio and this stuff could be mixed for radio play, in a day or two. After that shop it, as both artist and or publishers cuts. In other words, songs that other artists can cover and pay you publishing for (which is where the money is at in music PUBLISHING)... And many great artists got their start as songwriters/in publishing, even GnR got a publishing deal first... and the rest is history! Well done for what it is. Take 4 of your strongest cuts and book a 1st class room with 1st class engineers and producers and its good to go. Not bad at all for the genre, so far. W/a little work this could get air play, punched up a bit, OH YES, properly mastered as well, the chain of command goes, recording, mixing and mastering... you cannot leave out any of the three for world class sound. There is always room for material like this on top 40 radio, sort of reminds me of John Wait. Keep at it, just up your production game and remember 4 songs no ballads is the general rule when shopping material. If you can afford it a video wouldn't hurt you either! Well done thus far as a demo pkg. ...for the pop music genre. On a closing note, humility sells, although, I don't care for the show, Kelly Clarkson, won American Idol, based on no small part (like 50%) oh her ability to take criticism, with grace and humility, never being combative, with the judges; and she always thanked the judges, no matter how scathing the review. I cannot seem to drive that point home to some artists on here as "Fuck you we're the greatest"... just isn't appealing, AT ALL IN ANY WAY... and will keep an artist in mom's basement for life. By even pretending to be humble and taking a critique with grace, you are actually WINNING, by selling yourself as a REAl and HUMBLE person, that isn't an arrogant jack ass... (People love the humble hero, Man Of The People... and can't wait to see the arrogant jack ass kicked outta' the house/off the show.... Leave that (Arrogance) to the critics... ;) ....(And I don't mean, to thank me here), but never forget this in your career, so you don't bring your own mission to a complete halt, by your own actions... shooting yourself in the foot, so to speak! Overall well done... up the production by 20% as vocal clarity and wide open clear tracks that are very clean and extremely well produced are what this genre is all about! And Disney, writes huge checks, no harm in that!!! balls
