AS you watch the performance of biLLy bOy on poison you repeatedly have to remind yourself you’re watching a band of 15 year old boys with a 17 year old female drummer! The energy is definitely youthful ala The Rolling Stones circa 1965 or The Stooges of the early 70’s. There’s also a youthful delivery of the music. Youthful yes, but this band is the real deal! These are not fakers, these kids are living music, biLLy bOy on poison, is living Rock and Roll! It’s always’s live, heartfelt and extremely genuine! biLLy bOy on poison is: Davis - Vocals/Performer Extraordinaire. From an early age Davis was practicing to be a rock star in any mirror he could find. His obsession with David Bowie, Prince and Mick Jagger have paid huge dividends. He is the quitessential frontman for the digital age! And biLLy bOy on poison is his vehicle. Ryan Wallengren-Guitars Ryans tasty morsels compliment the biLLy bOy on poison sound much like a Keith Richards lick. Don’t let his old school approach fool you, Ryan brings a tremendous contemporary element to his retro playing. The sky’s the limit for this kid as a writer and player, listing Dylan, Lennon and McCartney, Lou Reed and Paul Simon as some of his influences. Julian Borrego: Bass The bottom end of biLLy bOy on poiSon is built off the fat sounds of jaYbEE! Julian, the newest member of the band lists influences as eclectic as The Rolling Stones and Vince Guaraldi . As a performer, Julian is the eye of the storm holding steady in an onslaught of energy. Julian started out as a pianist, prior to taking up the bass. Jesse Calcaterra-Drums Jesse grew up in a small mountain town in Colorado. She wasn;t the only female drummer in the area, she was the only drummer in the area. Jesse has played in cover bands, theatre and original bands since she was 13 years old. Jesse’s straight forward playing is the perfect backdrop for biLLy bOy on poison simple yet complicated, she creates a pocket like an old catchers mitt! In winter 2006/2007, biLLy bOy on poison teamed up with Rodeo Punk Music (RPM) Chris Sorensen, Stuart "Big Stu" Brantley and Michael Gurley to write and record 7 infectious tracks at Cornerstone and Hard Drive Studios in Los Angeles. biLLy bOy on poiSon will be performing at the World Famous Whisky a go-go and other hot spots throughout the new year. biLLy bOy on poiSon recently wrapped production on two mini-films, one for “angry young man” with young director Jake Hoffman and the other for “happy valentines day” directed by cutting edge documentary film-maker, Justin Janowitz. biLLy bOy on poiSon has been extended an invitation to bring their energy to the mainstage of Seattle Pride 2007 performing for in excess of 50,000 people!
