Growing up in Deep South Texas, you couldn't turn on a radio without hearing the sounds of George Strait, Garth Brooks, and many other great country musicians as well. Nor could you go to a club, wedding, or party and not heard the local bands playing away to their idols music adding a little Tejano-Norteno style of their own. My father, my hero, was also a founding member of a locally famous Tex-Mex country band called "The Tumbleweed Band". So growing up in such a setting, it seems only natural that a young man such as myself would want to jump into the country music scene.
