We were Music Nation Germany´s 3rd placed all over finalist in a MAJOR RECORD DEAL CONTEST of Universal Music!



Chicago Saints was founded in June 2007 by the talented and multi tasked DJ,Producer and songwriter Tahar M.J. whose origins lay in Tunisia/Northafrica. Born and living in Germany he studied Economie while turning his passion for music to his profession! His music should build a bridge between the different cultures,religions and nations all over the world.He calls it the cosmopolitan sound of pop.This music is melting classical,atmospheric and Rock elements with each other and contains georgeos melodies and arrangements.The lyrics are in english and russian so that there is also a touch of Balkan Pop within.The female voice is from his 23 year old sibirian singer who is now studiying in Germany. The messages in their songs deal with the feelings and the thoughts of human beeing who are not able to express it in words.A project that interely should be supported respectively because it is one of the most authentic music in the world of commercialized music nowadays.

    Thank you so much for your support. It was close, but we couldnt have done it without you. You are the ones that made this happen for us and we will always support you. This has been a crazy ride for us so far. Now its time to keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. It could come down to any one of us here at MN. The talent here is among the greatest I have ever seen or heard.
    I look forward to spending time with all of you everyday here at MN as this has now become our biggest and most rewarding networking tools out there. Keep in touch and much love and respect to all of you!

    Hi guys - thanks so much for your note and your support! I have really been enjoying your music and hope you'll play in STL one of these days!

    I feel guilty in reaching the top 20 because realistically I know that much depends on the timing of the cut-off, and because all of my friends are such great and deserving musicians. Thank you so much for your support! I think that the best parts of this, more than the end results, are the friendships and mutual admiration that have come about through this process.

    I MADE IT TO #3 AT ONE POINT, AND IT WAS ONLY FROM PEOPLE I KNOW ON THE SITE, BECAUSE I NEVER ASKED ANYONE TO VOTE FOR ME OUTSIDE OF THIS SITE!!!! :) I ALSO ALWAYS SAID, "VOTE IF YOU LIKE THE SONG". I WON´T VOTE FOR SONGS I DON´T LIKE, AND DON´T EXPECT MY FRIENDS TO EITHER. :)

    ANYWAY, MAYBE I MADE THE TOP 20?! BUT IF YOU´RE NOT A YOUNG ROCK BAND, (WHICH THEY SPECIFICALLY STATED THEY WERE LOOKING FOR IN THE SPIN VIDEO) YOUR CHANCES ARE NULL!!!

    I´M ALSO #3 IN LATIN AT OURSTAGE.COM WITH MY SONG "DO YOU WANT MY LOVIN". I´VE BEEN #3 FOR OVER A WEEK, SO I IMAGINE I´LL PROBABLY MAKE THE QUARTER FINALS, SEMI FINALS, AND WILL ONCE AGAIN LACK THE VOTES TO GET IN AND WIN THE FINALS, UNLESS MY 100´S OF FRIENDS HERE AT MUSIC NATION COME OVER AND VOTE FOR ME!!! :) THAT WOULD BE COOL, BECAUSE I´VE BEEN IN THE TOP 10 SEMI FINALS 5 OUT OF 6 CONTESTS IN 4 DIFFERENT GENRES. IT WOULD BE COOL TO FINALLY WIN. :)

    BY THE WAY, THERE´S SOME INCREDIBLE TALENT ON THIS SITE!!!!!! A LOT OF YOUNG TALENT!!!! ONE OF THESE ARTISTS SHOULD WIN, BECAUSE SPIN IS LOOKING FOR THE NEXT BIG ROCK BAND!!!! :)

    AT LEAST I KNOW MY SONGS ARE GOOD, AND WHICH WERE THE STRONGEST IN THE CONTEST!!!!!!
    SINCE WE WERE ABLE TO CHANGE OUR SONGS DURING THE ENTIRE CONTEST, I DID SOME EXPERIMENTING!!! :)

    THESE ARE THE SONGS THAT DID THE BEST;

    1."LOVE IS THE KEY" IS A WINNER!!!
    2."YOU DID IT TO ME" DID EXTREMELY WELL!!!!
    3."DON´T STOP" DID GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
    4."DO YOU WANT MY LOVIN" DID VERY WELL!!!
    5."IN THE NAME OF" DID VERY WELL!!!!!!!

    I TRIED OTHERS, BUT IT WAS PRIMARILY A ROCK CONTEST, SO JAZZ, FUNK, ELECTRONIC, GENERALLY DIDN´T DO THAT WELL FOR ANY LENGTHY PERIOD OF TIME!!!!!!
    THIS WILL VARY ON DIFFERENT SITES AND IN DIFFERENT CONTESTS, BUT IT WAS AN INTERESTING EXPERIMENT, AND THE 5 SONGS ABOVE ALL DID EXTREMELY WELL!!!!!!! :D

    AS I SAID BEFORE, NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT MY FRIENDS AND FANS HERE.
    I´M VERY GREATFUL TO ALL OF YOU. :)
    I´VE HEARD SO MUCH GREAT MUSIC, MET SO MANY WONDER FUL PEOPLE, AND HAD SOME GREAT LAUGHS HERE IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS, IT´S LIKE FAMILY FOR ME. SO I´LL BE AROUND HERE IN THE FUTURE. MAYBE NOT EVERYDAY, BUT A FEW TIMES A WEEK FOR SURE.

    THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

    Head 2 Head voting contests are WON or LOST in the last few hours. I was at #20 at 9:30 AM... and had a few friends voting for me these last 2 hours. (I hadn't asked them for any help at all until then.) Within 15 minutes, I was down to @200! How is that even possible?

    Even with every band member using software to refresh their screen every 10 seconds, the band should NOT be able to vote enough in the last few hours to rocket up from 200-300, into the top 20. The winners should be based on cumulative votes received. If the band was in the 200-300 range, they obviously *should* have received a LOT less votes to than those with higher numbers.

    Yet, we've all watched our songs bounce up and down 100's of spaces in hours. I honestly *still* can't grasp the possibility of the math equation being used... and I was president geek of our math club! *wink*

    I leave you all to ponder this... How can bands we barely knew existed vote enough for themselves in the last few hours to negate our gathering votes from our fans for months?

    Think for Yourselves... YOU be the judge!
