Music Nation is a Music Video Competition for Independent Artists

I am a girl who just loves to sing with one big dream of becoming a pop singer. I feel comfortable with my voice at the present time. To give you a little info about me. I am a girl who's parents had a band my whole life of growing up. Well I always would be up in my room. Which was right above the music studio. So there were many nights I would get no sleep. I career wise have been alot of things- waitress, bartendar, taxi cab driver, carpenters helper, tug boat painter, pool maintenance person, cosmetologist, manager of church's chicken, produce assistant manager at Winn-Dixie, A College Student of Business Administration, College Student of Cosmetology, and now I start EMT school in about a week in a half. But I will be finished with it and certified in August sometime. Its a excellerated coarse. Meaning you cover about 4 chapters a day. I also am a Karaoke DJ. Unfortunately the business has not picked up to well. Karaoke is pretty sold up in Hammond right now with the other companies. So right now it is on hold. It sure is nice to make $250 bucks in only 4 hours of work. If anyone in Louisiana needs a DJ or Karaoke show on here let me know. I would more than be happy to do it for you. I run all our shows with Electro Voice speakers or Yamaha Club Speakers (15's), Sure Mic's, and a 32 inch flat screen HD Monitor. It is a completely professional business, and I will make the singers sound great I promise. I use Fender powered mixers. I have 60,000 Karaoke songs, and 81,000 mp3's and the list is growing.

Well anyway back to me. I would also like to say I use to live in New Orleans. I lost my home in Katrina. We were displaced for two years living in a camper. It was 5 of us. Me, my husband, and our 3 children. It was nothing to nice. Well I sacrificed happiness and privacy for two years and now about a month and a half ago I bought a 3 bedroom 2 bath mobile home. It feels so good to have room to move again. The only sad things is I lost alot of things I cherished in the storm. Like things from my childhood, all my furniture, clothes, pictures, a car, and my home. I lost my two close friends I grew up with. I had to move to a place were I don't know anyone in the middle of country land. I am glad that I have went to karaoke. I have met so many people and intresting people here now. I am glad that have have some people to at least socialize with now. But I still miss my friends. I don't have anyone to shop with anymore. Life will never be how it once was for me. But it has given me more time to work on my vocals. I miss the good old days though.
