Music Nation is a Music Video Competition for Independent Artists

I feel very privileged every morning when I wake up because it's one more day that I get to spend with the ones I love. Every persons paths may be harder than someone else's, but in the end they have the choice to succeed. Remember when you think you have it bad, someone else out there has it ten times worse. I believe that anyone can acomplish anything they set out to do. Thanks for all of the support!

Musically:
Here's a little something about myself; I play the violin, drums, and guitar. Funny thing is that I use to hate the guitar because I thought that everyone played it and I wanted to play something different. I picked up the violin at 8 yrs old and started playing drums a year later.

In highschool I decided that I wanted to learn how to play the bass guitar. I was on my way to buying a bass at the local music store when it was soon interupted. This guy in the corner of the store started playing an acoustic guitar doing things that I had never heard before. From there I bought my first guitar and ever since I've been hooked.

I started writing songs when I was in Highschool and over time I was being encouraged by friends to do some recording. I write for myself, other people, and would like to write for film. I am in the process of completing a 5 song E.P, which is pretty much complete at the moment. I will not be planning any shows until the cd is out...Sorry.

I like to write songs about everyday life and the little moments inbetween that we sometimes forget about. I never sit down and say, "ok I'm going to write a song." It just never seems to work out that way. I have found that alot of my songwriting comes when I'm driving or when I'm just waking up. I actually wrote "Maria" & "Paper Heart" on a 4 hour drive to the studio.

Sometimes when your mind is free you can open up the windows of opportunities. Life: I'm 26, I like Basketball (my second love), oh and March Madness, Baseball.. Go Stros (trust me you dont want me on your team), taking pictures, biking, running, camping, swimming, animals (prefferably dogs over cats), history, collecting old bottles, obsession with black and red shoes, Cream Soda (I'm trying to stop) the beach, traveling. I seldom watch T.V, I'm a dreamer, a visionary, a poet, and live life to the fullest. Also have a degree in public relations/journalism.
