Description:
The "Dive Bar" is a Country western classic. DOTMIG takes you into his neighborhood "Dive Bar". Where DOTMIG & the boys play some Blues Rock. With all the excitement, you will find SEXY-N-LEAN whoopin the two step & swinging her bra up on top of the bar. It's always a good time at the "Dive Bar"......

Warning: Remove Tie Before ListeningNice recording...Simple and clear...Frankie definitely takes it in the intro but the singer need not tell him... This sounds like a Southern Rock, 80s metal like Poison, and old school rock....I like the singer....He's into it and it shows...Catchy song for sure...I KNOW I'll hear this again somewhere.... Great hook, tasty guitars and drums...Bass is clean and sits pretty in the mix... Great one! - Mattfig Wyandotte, Michigan May 30th, 2007

Review #10: Dotmig, "Dive Bar"Wed, Jul 18, 2007, 1:05 PMBY COBRA starts out like a honkey tonk track, with a blues-y solo by Frankie and some harmonica accompaniment. The recording sounds alittle too clean to pull off an authentic dive bar band vibe. The gruff vocals don't sound as authentic when they're so clean and compressed. The lyrics sound like they were written when they were drunk or just made up on the spot...which is cool, because it matches the idea of being wasted and seeing a person walk in who's obviously out-of-place, and joking around with your buddies. The song follows a traditional structure of blues-rock, allowing room for fills--small solos in-between the vocals--and the band plays well together, making sure they don’t step on anyone's toes and keeping a steady rhythm. The group vocals in the chorus make me think that this is their hit song when they play live, and I can imagine they get everyone in the venue singing by the end of the track. Some bands are better to listen to on record and some bands are better to see live, I feel like Dotmig falls into the latter. my review would probably change if I saw this band live or if they had a live video for this song.
