Her parents, Googie and Tom Coppola recorded and toured with many internationally-acclaimed artists, among them some of Brazil’s masters. In that group are; The Fatback Band, The Average White Band, Luther Vandross, Herbie Mann, The Jackson Five (Victory Tour), Bette Midler, Todd Rundgren, Chick Corea, Keith Jarrett, The Brecker Brothers, Steve Gadd, Ian Hammer, Manu DiBango, Stevie Wonder, Creed Taylor, Eumir Deodato, Sammy Figueroa, Airto Moreira and Flora Purim, and Hermeto Pascoal. These masters of music had a powerful impact on Ms. Coppola. Eva’s strongest vocal influences are Stevie Wonder, Maria Callas, and her mother. EvaEva is an amalgam of these and her own musical elements, and this mixture of styles, attitudes, and moods is reflected in her diverse recordings. Among those who have recorded with her are Cyro Baptista, Gil Goldstein, and Dominguinhos. EvaEva traveled frequently to Brazil, where she recorded "Friends Always". She lived in São Paulo for three months in 2000, during which time she performed with Jorge Ben Jor. In 2005, EvaEva recorded 4 songs for EMI Music, a project produced by Matt Pierson. EvaEva is also talented as an actress and dancer. She was hired as a child actor and singer for commercials, has performed in plays, musicals, operettas, and has been trained classically in ballet and tap. EvaEva starred in and co-produced the independent short film, "The Crown and Bell" in 1999. EvaEva studied Flute with Julius Baker and Brad Garner at The Juilliard School from 1983-1987. While a student at Juilliard, she performed with Jean-Pierre Rampal and a flute chorus at Carnegie Hall. From the late 80’s to early 90’s, EvaEva was 1 of a few (female) working NYC Club DJs. She could be seen spinning at the Palladium, Limelight, Red Zone, Shout, City, Tavern On The Green, and the Rainbow Room.
