Erica and Kelly met in the small town of Dexter, Mo and say their journey began sharing a seat next to one another in the church choir. They are full of life and excitement as they talk about their friendship, the roads they have traveled together, and their determination to achieve the dreams they have carried over the years. In 2004 the girls relocated to Nashville and never looked back. Finding the players that could bring to life the music inside their heads was difficult at first, but then they found a group of musicians that understood their unique soulful, sibling-like harmonies, thus creating a sound that’s all their own. “Where soulful blue grass meets southern rock while still honoring traditional country music is where you’ll find EzraJane,” says both girls. As important as their music is, they also talk freely on how they strive to maintain God as their foundation, and their ever growing desire to change the face of Sierra Leone, Africa. At the core, EzraJane desires to change, through music, the way people live in countries many of us often forget about. “Music is definitely a huge passion of ours, but more importantly we want to urge everyone to live their life to improve the lives of others, to do what they can to make a difference.” The quote that says, “The quickest way to change or affect a culture is through the arts” is really something that we believe in. Now as to the name EzraJane. It’s been said that it all started over “the” perfect pair of jeans. It may sound crazy, but have a 15 minute conversation with the girls that make up this country duo and you will understand just how important a good pair of jeans really is! During one of their many jean shopping trips, while the name was still being discussed, Kelly found a pair of jeans that was an "Ezra" and Erica found a pair that was a "Jane." After learning the definition of each they felt naming the group “EzraJane” would not only define their cause but remind them daily of all they have been blessed with. We hope you will take a moment to experience the music and artistry of EzraJane. You’ll be glad you did!
