Fade Philosophy is a five piece, thrill-seeking institution of creativity, hailing from around Houston, TX which was created in mid-october, 2007. Self-produced and less than a year old, Fade Philosophy singer/songwriter/guitarist Cullen Lisbony and bassist Rick Recckio in Texas have joined forces with Joel Johnston on synths out of San Diego, CA to create some music together. They wish to open up the stage to other players to fill in as well. Recordings started as a long-distance project for simple enjoyment, and an experiment on how well it actually worked. Apparently, it went a bit further than expected. Prodded by local friends to get the music on stage has now caused the band to look for a synth player, since Joel's live presence is limited, and a permanent drummer. Fade Philosophy rehearses on a small plot of land in Pearland, TX, down the road from where The Judy’s once practiced, and plans to release two LP’s within a year of the EP release date. The 2008 “Into the Sky” EP includes the songs, “Keep me Away”, “Into the Sky”, “I Doubt It”, and “Freedom”, which will also appear on the upcoming LP, “Evolution of You” with the final lineup recording the songs. While spiritual rants and overtones are obvious in the melodic music, political statements exist there as well as psychological ones. Fade Philosophy has a catchy, rocked out melodic sound which is distinct, and you’ll know who it is when a song is expressed by them.
