Music Nation is a Music Video Competition for Independent Artists

OUR NAME originates from an exclamation made by the religious reformer, Martin Luther. "Martin Luther attributed his decision to leave his studies and become a monk to an experience during a thunderstorm on July 2, 1505. A lightning bolt struck near him as he was returning to university after a trip home. Later telling his father he was terrified of death and divine judgment, he cried out, "Help! Saint Anna, I will become a monk!" He came to view his cry for help as a vow he could never break." Those three words began a journey towards personal and spiritual discovery, and we hope for our project to be the same type of journey for us and our listeners. Without the lightning of course. OUR SOUND is a little of this and a little of that. I suppose you can call us "Indie" if you like, but to be honest we don't set out to sound like anything in particular. We only hope that the noise we produce is somewhat pleasing and means something to someone somewhere. OUR BAND consists of Ahren, Daniel, Casey, and Kelly. Ahren and Daniel began the band, and Casey joined soon after. Kelly is Casey's wife, and Daniel performed the ceremony for their wedding and for Ahren and his wife's wedding as well. Ahren was the best man at Daniel's wedding, and Casey and Ahren have been friends since their school days. Casey and Ahren were in other bands together when they were younger, and Ahren and Daniel were in other bands together when they were younger. Kelly teaches music for a living, and now we all play music together.
