DESCRIPTION & WORDS: Cover of Johnny Cashes version of NIN's original. I used Johnny's guitar line, but used bass chords instead, giving it a gloomy feel. Since life is energy, the static fade in, at the intro represents death coming back to tell the tale, then it also fades out, representing life fading. The repeated bass note at the end is the heart beat, as it fades out, the static fades in. and yeah, I took that photo, in Maui.     it may be blasphemous to say, but i've never heard the original, so i have nothing to compare this to, but i have a feeling that even if i did, this rendition will hold its own very well. the guitars, bass line, and overall mood of the track is dark yet bright, atmospheric and gloomy. your vocals are emotional and evoke the message of the lyrics extremely well. amazing job!

    Damn around the 2 minute mark my jaw just dropped, you definitely owned this song Aaron. And that picture is kinda hypnotizing going along with this track.
