Music Nation is a Music Video Competition for Independent Artists

I sing. I sing a lot and spend even more time writing songs. I like to think my music is a cross between the rock/pop sound of Pink with the lyrical freshness and honesty of Patty Griffin. Green is my favorite color, but if you ask me I'll say it's Blue. I'm sensitive, but I try and act tough and that gets me in trouble, but makes my songs real. I have expereinced things, that I write about in my tunes, that you wouldn't believe, (and if you did we'd be friends for sure!) In my short time here I've realized that Love and Laughter are the best ingredients if you're looking to make a great life!!! Lucia released her first album, Good Girl, in Feb. 2001. Multiple songs from the Good Girl, album sat at ..2 on Durham NHS WUNH, (91.3fm,) most requested chart for months and appeared on stations across New England. Singles from her last CD were also featured on Clear Channels 107.1fm out of New England, where they were among the most requested songs by listeners. Despite many layers of adversity throughout her life, this musicians persistence and talent continues to pay off. Lucia has the unique ability and gift to please audiences wherever she goes. Her past performances include: Second stage pre-opening acts for Wilco and Natalie Merchant at Meadowbrook Farms in Gilford NH, 2004 Rochester Fair, (Pre-Opening Act for Brooke Hogan and Freakin A,) NH Young Artist Showcase, (featured artist,) and numerous area coffee shops, coffeehouses and colleges around New England. Lucia has also hit New York City with performances at CBGBs 313 and the Elbow Room. In addition, she was a featured artist at International Music Week 2003 in NYC, where she performed at a variety of venues including: Madison Square Garden, China Club, Le Discotheque and Le Bar Bac. She shined in New York and took home the award for Best Female Pop/ Rock Artist. Her exposure has expanded to the West with a variety of shows at The Desert Palms Casino and Club Seven in Las Vegas. In addition, she took home the Best Pop /Rock Female, award in Las Vegas at the Vegas International Music Showcase this past July.
