Hello,
We are Lush Progress from Tampa, FL. We are an experienced band with one album under our belt already. The band formed in 2004 when it was founded by Drew Cutler. Like most bands, we draw influence from the bands and artists that we admire; such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Miles Davis, Bjork, Beck, The Flaming Lips, The Pixies... The list goes on and on.
We're working on a second album right now. We're almost done with the tracking, and we should be mixing and mastering by January. So you can expect a release in early 2008.
We began writing songs for our sophomore album about two years ago. Since then, we have written about 24 - 26 compositions.

Going into the studio on Oct 14 to track some more songs for the upcoming record. It's been a long process, but it should be worth it in the end.

Fun - I prefer the low key approach of the vocals over the more upfront, more earnest stuff. The instrumentation seems to work pretty well, and I DO appreciate what sounds like a search for new direction, vocally - though, again, the lowkey approach really works for me ultimately in this music. cheers!Doug Brod says
Nice to hear a band who sound like the sum of their influences and aren't slavish adherents to a particular genre. I like how your sound is gentle yet weird, lazy-sounding but entirely focused. Too few bands play off those kinds of contradictions. And even though your stuff doesn't have the immediacy of, say, a great rock track, your songs are definitely growers, just like a lot of music that's built to last. Impressive!Will Harrington says
