Ray Smalley - Vocals/Guitars Donnie Rose - Guitars Donnie Jr - Bass Joe Gavin - Drums Man Down was originally formed on November 16th 2002, when singer Mike Herman was introduced to the band and incouraged to audition; Guitarist Donnie Rose, Bassist Josh Black and Drummer Patrick Witham immediately hit it off with Herman and the band quickly began jamming and writing music, developing their distinct yet catchy hard rock style. After playing a few gigs around the Boston area, Witham decided to leave the band. A few days later, Donnie met Drummer Vic Dobson and asked him to join the band. Vic effortlessly settled into the band and Man Down set out to captive the Boston rock scene. Man Down has since written over a dozen songs, performed at a variety of venues around the metro Boston area. With compelling intros, catchy chorses and anthematic riffs, Man Down has created a sound that is reminiscent of good, old fashioned rock & roll as it is refreshing unique and inspiring. Man Down fell apart April 18th 2003... Four years later... Donnie and Josh strive to keep Man Down alive. After MANY auditions Donnie & Josh decided to recruit Ray Smalley (Vocalist/Guitarist) & Joe Gabin (Drums). On September 1st 2007 Josh had decided to venture off with other musicians. Donnie , Ray & Joe hired Donnie Jr. to take over on Bass. With the band complete (once again...), Man Down is ready to hit the Boston Music Scene!
