This seems well restrained, seems your tastes are all in line, which is SO IMPORTANT - I feel most songwriting falls apart due to lack of focused taste. Well-crafted tunes, soaring guitars, solid emotional vocals. You wear your influences well. This stuff really appeals to me, but I have to say you guys could use something that distinguishes you from all the Travises, Coldplays, and Augustanas out there. Have you heard of Gene? They sounded just the Smiths and were able to parlay that into a career because their songs were just so stunning. You need to break out of the dreary tempo--and take a few chances.
