DOWNLOAD NEW COLDPLAY SINGLE FOR FREE
Tue, Apr 29, 2008, 04:20 PMAfter by most accounts a disappointing third LP -- 2005's X&Y -- Coldplay returns next month with the Brian Eno-produced Viva La Vida. (Ricky Martin not included.)
Starting today, and for the next week, the band is making single #1 from Viva La Vida available for a free download (the URL that you receive, once you put your email into an online form, is good for about six hours). "Violet Hill" represents a slight left turn for the group, with some welcome edginess in Eno's production.
Click here to download the song, if Coldplay is something you enjoy (no one has to know).
In other news, apparently the rest of the album recounts tales from the French Revolution.
Another left turn! Bravo, sirs.

ColdPlay mood music with keyboard openings before the long dark December, . . .see this is the sort of song that has a distinct message, great vocals, and music that follows and wraps everything in a wonderful feeling. Great song, . . .I also heard that Mark Holman songwriter takes this approach but has a much lower voice like a Harbor Horn, unique and powerful too, . . .Carolina Commons, . . .http://musicnation.com/music/holworks/playlist/211041
