MONOLITH FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES MEGA-BILL

Bummed about missing Coachella? You have a second-chance -- of sorts.

The bill for this year's two-day Monolith Festival held at the gorgeous Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado was just announced: and it gives Coachella a run for its money.

Ok, fine, it's not as good... because, well, no Prince.

But slated to appear on Saturday, Sept. 13 are: Devotchka, Neko Case, Vampire Weekend, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Cut Copy, and more. On Sunday, Sept. 14: Justice, TV On The Radio, Band Of Horses, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings (below), Tokyo Police Club, and more.

Plenty of time to save your money, and get Colorado-bound for, well, let's call it Coachella, Jr.

I must be old or the conservative radio stations in NC do not play this type of music. The only bands on the list I recognize are TV On The Radio and Band Of Horses. I like TV on the Radio alot as I think their songs are smart and well constructed with expert musicianship. But, you do not have to go to Colorado to listen to great music. It is right here on Music Nation as evidenced by that Mark Holman guy in Holworks, . . .Wow a booming Bass?
