SNEAK PEEK: SCARLETT COVERS TOM WAITS
The internet was abuzz yesterday with bloggers posting a few leaked songs from Scar-Jo's upcoming album of Tom Waits covers, Anywhere I Lay My Head.
Due in stores May 20, the LP, produced by TV On The Radio's Doug Stitek, has been preemptively dismissed by most critics as a vanity project times ten, made worse by its odd, street-cred-worthy conceit. But someone must be pretty damn interested, because for the ten seconds it was available for download, everyone pounced.
For those who did not manage to get a free listen, this should give you a pretty fair idea of the album's sound:
