GREEN DAY SEMI-SECRET SIDE BAND TO TOUR

Green Day hits the road next week for a rare club tour... well, not technically Green Day, but Foxboro Hot Tubs, the trio's thinly veiled secret side project. Close enough?

Regardless, it's a chance to see Billy Joe & Co. in a small live setting for $20 cash. Tickets are only available day of show.

Foxboro Hot Tubs alighted in December of last year, when the band posted three tunes on foxborohottubs.com. It took about ten minutes for the rumors to begin that the band was actually Green Day in disguise.

From the sound of the stripped-down music, to this eight-day small-venue tour, it seems the bestselling alt-rock band is revisiting its legendary post-punk, DIY roots.

The Foxboro Hot Tubs May tour is slated as follows:

May 19 - Little Rock, AR; Juanita's

May 20 - New Orleans, LA; One Eyed Jack's

May 21 - Dallas, TX; The Loft

May 22 - Austin, TX; Emo's

May 26 - San Diego, CA; Soma

May 27 - Los Angeles, CA; The Roxy

May 28 - Long Beach, CA; Alex's Bar

No one shout out "Wake Me Up When September Ends," ok? You have been warned.

Foxboro Hot Tubs releases an LP titled Stop Drop and Roll on May 20.
