OZZFEST ONE-OFF SET FOR AUGUST

Instead of trudging through the heat to play the nation's [insert-corporate-name-here] amphitheatres all summer, Ozzy Osbourne will bring his traveling metal road show to Dallas on Aug. 9 for one big stadium-sized Ozzfest blowout.

Needless to say, the bill is mega for this year's Ozzfest. Already confirmed are Metallica, Jonathan Davis (Korn), Hellyeah, Sevendust, Serj Tankian, Shadows Fall, Apocalyptica, In This Moment -- and Ozzy himself. Second-stagers include Kingdom of Sorrow, Soilent Green, Goatwhore, Witchcraft and Devil Diver.

Tickets for the Pizza Hut Park show go on sale May 31 at Ozzfest.com.

The show, which is Ozzy's only scheduled concert date for 2008, will also feature an all-star tribute to departed Pantera guitarist-genius "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.

Guess all those free shows last year put a dent in the travel budget.

What I haven't commented on Ozzie the Outlaw? I'll go if they have free pizza.
