THE POLICE TARGET NYC FOR LAST SHOW EVER

Thirty years after arriving in America to play a gig at New York's CBGB's, The Police will officially turn in their badges in the Big Apple this summer.

The venue and date is still TBA, but the recently reformed band announced that they would come "full circle" in NYC with one final performance. This will cap off a successful worldwide reunion tour -- something many people (including the Sting, Andy Summers, and Stewart Copeland) thought would never happen.

The announcement, however, does dash the hopes of those who got a little too optimistic in light of the recent tour and pined for a new LP from the trio. Not going to happen. Sting is returning to his solo career. And this is perfect timing for it, too, now that the Police reunion has distracted fans from his album of lute anthems. Yep, it always sounded like a headline from The Onion to us, too.

My review : With an old guitarist who has played with Robert Fripp & George Harrison ~ & a young drummer who's rich Pop is paying for the whole album ~ I think this singer / bass player guy is real lucky !

My prediction : With that reggae styled ode to a whore love song ~ these guy's have a good shot of being a one hit wonder !!!!!
