RADIOHEAD MAKES PEACE WITH iTUNES
Tue, Jun 03, 2008, 12:49 PMDo you find Radiohead's albums to be overlong, ponderous, joyless affairs.... but you just love Karma Police?
Good news. The Oxford, UK alt-art-rock quintet has officially availed themselves to iTunes. You can now download your favorite Radiohead tracks (e.g., "Fitter, Happier") at your discretion, song by song, for $.99 a pop.
The band had held out against iTunes for quite some time, not (officially) for financial reasons, but due to an objection to the policy of splitting albums into individual tracks and allowing them to be sold separately.
Earlier this year, In Rainbows did become available for download on the iTunes service. Starting today, however, you can find the outfit's entire back catalog there.
The remaining anti-iTunes holdouts? The Beatles, Garth Brooks and AC/DC.

In my opinion good bands like Radiohead put a lot of thought into the order of their songs and the flow of entire albums; having certain songs compliment others and interludes to ease the listener through the movement of the album. So, I will allows prefer to listen begging to end of a full record...but it'll be nice to just buy one or two songs to put on my grand kids ipod.your pal,
