JOHNNY CASH RETURNS TO FOLSOM PRISON

It was the Man in Black's most famous gig -- and the one that he pushed for the hardest, against every last wish of his skittish record label. Now Johnny Cash's one-of-a-kind (well, two, he did back to back nights) performances in 1968 at Folsom State Prison are getting a major re-release through Columbia/Legacy imprint.

Even casual Cash fans should geek out at the first disc alone, which boasts seven additional, previously unreleased tracks -- including "I'm Here To Get My Baby Out of Jail," which you just know was interpreted.

Disc two includes the little-discussed second show at Folsom, which features 24 songs and a good dose of June Carter Cash.

Disc three is a DVD that combines footage from Folsom Prison and interviews of Cash insiders Merle Haggard, Marty Stuart and daughter Roseanne Cash, plus rare photographs.

Best bonus feature: Liner notes by Johnny, along with Steve Earle. (Don't freak out. They were written in 1999.)
