METALLICA SET 'MAGNETIC' TOUR, RADIO SHO...
Coming to an arena near you, the persistent metal of Metallica. The foursome are finally set to drop the eagerly awaited Death Magnetic LP on Sept. 12, and they are not being shy about promoting it full-tilt.
The North American tour itself is extensive, kicking off Oct. 21 in Glendale, Ariz, and running through the winter. Meanwhile, the band will host its own self-aggrandizing radio show, "Mandatory Metallica," on XM Sirius, starting Aug. 16. Each episode will include a Metallica "hit" parade, along with interviews (conducted by James, Lars & Co.) of members of Slipknot, Guns N' Roses, Mastodon, and other Metallica-lovin outfits.
