PROUD MEMBER OF NSAI!! Like mistletoe, the state flower of her native Oklahoma, Natalie Tidwell has patiently grown, waiting for the perfect time to reveal her brilliance. Now, just as we’re instinctively drawn toward the ones we love when we pass beneath the mistletoe, so too are we drawn toward Natalie’s sweet-sultry voice. Like many entertainers, creativity runs in Natalie’s family. The daughter of a TV meteorologist at Oklahoma City’s KEBC (Keepin’ EveryBody Country) and a mother who is an accomplished piano player, Natalie and her siblings couldn’t help but inherit the desire to entertain. Her grandmother is an inventor who developed the carbon press machine out of her disgust for the omnipresent black stains on her hands she acquired at her job working for the government. The Tidwell family gets things done, and Natalie is no exception. An accomplished student, Natalie graduated Valedictorian from high school and in the Top 10% from the University of Tulsa, majoring in Marketing. She always knew that her passion was entertaining, and that her chosen major would help her further her music as the “product” she is most passionate about marketing. When she’s not writing songs, singing demos, or performing live, you’ll often find Natalie listening to talk radio or engaging in political conversation with her husband Tim, a now-retired professional football player who has played for the New England Patriots, the Miami Dolphins, and most recently the 2007 Arena Bowl Champions the San Jose Sabrecats. Natalie’s musical journey began when, at the tender age of 6, her father was able to score front-row tickets to a Barbara Mandrell concert through his TV station connections. During the show, Barbara invited little Natalie to the stage, where she belted out “Sleeping Single in a Double Bed.” Ms. Mandrell was so impressed that she gave Natalie an autographed tambourine and a tour of her bus. Natalie was bitten by the music bug. She continued to sing and take dance lessons and the accomplishments began to stack up. At age 13 she was a finalist on Ed McMahon’s Star Search, she won the Oklahoma Kids state competition and the American Kids national competition, the Entertainment Connection national competition, and the Next American Superstar competition. She was a featured cast member in the Country Tonite productions in Branson, Missouri and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and she has opened for country stars including Toby Keith, Martina McBride, Montgomery Gentry, and Blake Shelton. When asked why anyone in their right mind would want to chase the dream of becoming a recording artist and performer, Natalie sums it up this way. “Success in this business is so screwed up. What is success? I define it as a ‘completion of something intended.’ By that definition I have success everyday.” Natalie’s journey has already had its share of ups and downs. For example, a recent high point in her career was when she was invited to host the Oklahoma Opry. As she stepped out onto the stage she fell. Not just any fall – she completely wiped out. Face planted. Once she got up, her heels were dangling from the straps and she couldn’t get them back on. She pulled herself together, laughed it off, and started singing. She could feel blood dripping down her legs from her wounded knees and the audience could see it, too. She finished out the night with band-aids and still has the battle scars from that one. In contrast, Natalie is constantly reminded of the good that her music does for others. Her biggest fan is a 70-year-old woman named Norma. Norma doesn’t have a computer, but she walks to the library every day to spend her time managing Natalie’s Myspace page. Fans like Norma with that kind of faith that serve as constant reminders that Natalie is traveling the right path. After listening to Natalie’s most recent round of recordings, a Music Row songwriter asked Natalie “So why are you not a big star yet?” Great question - Stay tuned.

I just want to thank all of my friends for their constant support and love throughout the past few months. I'm so glad I joined this site and am so thankful for all of the wonderful people i've met here. I wanted to take a second to wish everyone the best of luck in this last week of the Spin Pursuit and tell everyone who makes the finals not to take it for granted. There are 476 people who would kill for the spot you will have and I hope you know how talented and loved you are to be able to make it there. For those who don't win or make the finals, never give up. I know i won't. Cherish the relationships you've developed throughout this ride and consider yourself lucky to have done so. There will be other opportunities for you. As for the winner, I will be behind you 100% and wish you the best throughout your career as I will be following it. I truly love everyone that I have been blessed to meet on this site and you are all very dear to me. So once again, good luck, God bless, and i hope we have a great finish to this thing!ME OFF~AKA~JACK says

This is just a quick note just to let you know I've just voted for you on the GAC ~ 69 player !I appreciate all of the support you've thrown my way ~ so instead of rushing through and trying to vote as fast as I can . . . ... I've decided to savor this experience & enjoy the selections at a more leasurely pace , while trying to make each & every vote display my honest preference as the best selection that exemplifies my choice within the guidelines set forth by Music Nation , & our sponsors , in the voting criteria. In the fashion of that old tried and true 3 step sales technique* I would like to reiterate that at this very time ~ that best selection was you !!!!! Appeal of 18 JuneFrom Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Appeal of 18th June was a famous speech by Charles de Gaulle, the leader of the Free French Forces, in 1940. The appeal is the origin of the French Resistance to the German occupation during World War II. De Gaulle spoke to the French people from London after the fall of France. He declared the war for France was not yet over, and rallied the country in support of the Resistance. Translation of the speech On June 18, 1940, at 19:00, de Gaulle's voice was broadcast nationwide, saying: "The leaders who, for many years, were at the head of French armies, have formed a government. This government, alleging our armies to be undone, agreed with the enemy to stop fighting. Of course, we were subdued by the mechanical, ground and air forces of the enemy. Infinitely more than their number, it was the tanks, the airplanes, the tactics of the Germans which made us retreat. It was the tanks, the airplanes, the tactics of the Germans that surprised our leaders to the point to bring them there where they are today. "But has the last word been said? Must hope disappear? Is defeat final? No! "Believe me, I speak to you with full knowledge of the facts and tell you that nothing is lost for France. The same means that overcame us can bring us to a day of victory. For France is not alone! She is not alone! She is not alone! She has a vast Empire behind her. She can align with the British Empire that holds the sea and continues the fight. She can, like England, use without limit the immense industry of the United States. "This war is not limited to the unfortunate territory of our country. This war is not finished by the Battle of France. This war is a worldwide war. All the faults, all the delays, all the suffering, do not prevent there to be, in the world, all the necessary means to one day crush our enemies. Vanquished today by mechanical force, we will be able to overcome in the future by a superior mechanical force. "The destiny of the world is here. I, General de Gaulle, currently in London, invite the officers and the French soldiers who are located in British territory or who would come there, with their weapons or without their weapons, I invite the engineers and the special workers of armament industries who are located in British territory or who would come there, to put themselves in contact with me. "Whatever happens, the flame of the French resistance must not be extinguished and will not be extinguished. Tomorrow, as today, I will speak on Radio London." A few collaborations with my esteemed friends lending the talents of triumph in completing this collection are Brandon of Wormajor , Mark of Holworks , Manes of Encrypted Verbalist & St."Star of my very own The 7th Penguins . http://musicnation.com/music/thealtruistic/playlist/234522

Hello Natalie. I hope you are doing well. I have managed to vote for you on three separate occasions since this contest began. Unfortunately, I've been slammed lately, so I don't get to vote as much as I would like.
