Here's your arbitrary Sunday vote to commemorate the arbitrary extension of the qualifying round!(ok it wasn't arbitrary it was a typo)Love, The band who arbitrarily loves you the most! (more than your daddy) Since we have a few extra days, look for someone above 500 rank that you think should make it to the head-to-head. We've seen acts move hundreds of ranks in just a couple of days! Send some love and you will get it back!

~> VOTE <~ ~SATURDAY~~LSD~ Wow, I had no idea that this was the last day of this phase of the competition. A SPECIAL CONGRATS TO AARON CHARLES "SINGLE FATHER" FOR HIS 1st PLACE IN THE 1st PHASE OF THIS COMPETITION. TALK ABOUT LAST MINUTE GAME WIN! LOL. GOOD JOB BRO! YOU DESERVE IT. I don't know how everything works, but I suspect not as many comments for all of us. So I guess I'll say thank you to everyone for your continuous love & support for each other. I've learned a great deal so far. My only regret right now, is that I didn't think of doing the salutes earlier, as I still have a long list of artists here. But hey, this isn't the last competition here on MN, and I will continue to spread the love whenever I can, to whoever is willing to read what I have to say, and I will continue with that ever growing list when it's gonna be seen by many, like in this contest. I truly apologize to those who I didn't get to plug, due to the miscalculation on my part. I'm not gonna say good luck, because luck has nothing to do with it. What I will say is..........KICK FUCKING ASS PEEPS! You have all amazed me, and made this my favorite community site! I LOVE YOU 4 EVER!!!! SALUTED: Rick Frost: "Dogs in the Moonlight" http://musicnation.com/music/rickfrost/dogs-in-the-moonlight (Hella awesome song, and a Hella awesome musician. You'll love this from the get go. Blending acoustic rhythms with Tasty electric guitar leads, and great Vox (vocals) like Alice in Chains and Led Zeppelin (Gods), Rick gives you a glimpse of his life experiences and views on his world. And a quite melodic world. I promise. I became an instant fan.) Killed by Design: "Get out alive" http://musicnation.com/music/killedbydesign/get-out-alive (These guys fucking floored me. Great hooks, great sound, hard rock, and an amazing vocalist. The singer was very reminiscent of Bono from U2. If I was an A&R Rep for a record company, I would sign them immediately!) Fade Philosophy: "Into the sky" http://musicnation.com/music/fadephilosophy/into-the-sky (These guys way wowed me. An incredible mix of electronic, ambient, rock, metal, etc. Very different. But the coolest part, is that they can separate those different genres in one song. So instead of Industrial because of the mix of electro and rock, you'd have to say rock and electro. Hard to explain. All I know, is that in the intro, I though it was gonna be more ambient, but when it really started, it was rock, the surprised me again with a heavier chorus. This is another one that I would have signed immediately. I guess there's a lot of bands here that I feel that way about. But these guys are the absolute deal!) Morphine Carnival: "Over the Hills" http://musicnation.com/music/morphinecarnival/over-the-hills (Morphine Carnival is all Zach Jacoby. A very unique and interesting style of acoustical rock. He has a cool eccentric style to his tunes. If I had to explain or compare, I would say it was a cross between Janes Addiction and Violent Femmes, but with mostly just an acoustic guitar and vocals. If you wanna hear something different sounding in the acoustic genre, def pay Carnival MNorphine a visit.) SOLARMAGIC: "Areons Meet Star Gazers" http://musicnation.com/music/solarmagic/areons-meet-star-gazers (With a blend of different instruments, sounds, and moods, there are no words that can truly truly describe this ambient space music. But no words are needed, as this instrumental will in fact make you understand the story told here, with your ears and soul. As it says in the bio, "Some artists like to paint canvasses. I like to paint music", Solarmagic's music def paints a picture in your mind, brilliantly in High Definition!) The Advisors: "Illusion" http://musicnation.com/music/afiallo/illusion (The Advisors, is all Bert Fiallo. This music is very well written, with hooky riffs and smooth vox. It has a U-2ish almost 80's feel, but with a more live instrument sound which successfully keeps it from being dated. And I don't mean "keeps from being dated" in a bad way. I feel that's what most artists want, especially when having a song in a retro style. You wanna bring it up to date, or ultimately make it timeless, and he does both. What impresses me most though, is that he does what I wish that I could do. He makes it sound as though more than one person is playing, with different styles or feels in each track/instrument. I would like to be "Advised" by Bert.) AND A SPECIAL ALOHA & MAHALO TO THESE TALENTS THAT I'VE GOTTEN TO KNOW A TAD BIT: NEW YORK DISCO VILLAINS* POPPERMOST* BEN VANDAGRIF* THE ONE NEEDERS* PEDESTRIAN X* CRY TO THE BLIND* AVALON PARADE* PMC* ACOUSTIC PHASES* CHRISTY JONES* JUSTINE WILDE* NIKA* DUSE KANNON* MIUMA* GARY SPARKS* RICKY SPARKS* RICHARD BERNSTEIN* WILD BILL AUSTIN* HOINH* BRAVO* ROBERT TIERNAN (God)* DETOUR* RICK FROST* MARK ALAN DOOLEY* POP DOLLS* AC* MARK HOLMAN* WORMAJOR* AARON CHARLES* and of course.....JUGGERNAUT! I'm sorry if I missed you. I'm tryin to rush so that I can get my final votes in! A very VERY special thank you to my dearest friend and promo goddess, Michelle aka LSD's Shell and to her familia! Yes, you too "TheGurl"!! YOU ALL FUCKING RULE!!! ~One Love~ ☆Love Sex n Death☆ Small plug for me. Check out this snippet of my newest recording. It's a cover of EMF's "Unbelievable". Here's a sweet ~>V<~ 4 Sunday. And also, my Daily Salute to those who ROCK ME! THE LIST FOR TODAY: (and what a list this iz!!!) New York Disco Villains: "Loner" http://musicnation.com/music/nydv/loner (There's a reason why NYDV moved up on these rankings so quickly. Hard work, yes. But more because this is just one of the best bands around. Their style of music has an unmistakable sound, that as soon as you hear it, you know who it is. (I don't know how to explain it, but) Reminds me of that style that Danny Elfman / Boingo has, to where every song is so different, but yet it's still within their style. They have brilliant upbeat rhythms, that gets your feet a' movin, but yet somehow still has that hard edge raunch of good rock n roll. Kinda if Boingo banged The B-52's, then had a troubled kid. But then kicked Fred's ass out of the B-52's. And if given a break, these "Villains" would put a dent and make their mark in the world of music. It's hard hard to explain these peeps, without taking up @ least 2 pages. So I'll just say, that they come VERY highly recommended.) Cry to the Blind: "Shadow of a Man" http://musicnation.com/music/crytotheblind/shadow-of-a-man ( Dude! Dude, dude dude! This is very easy to explain. These guys fucking kick ass!!! Hard rock, just the way I love it. Listen to these guys, and you'll swear you were listening to a band that's bigger than life. Again, a band with their own style, but if I had to give a comparison, I'd say Queensryche, Avenged SevenFold, and Dream Theater, just because of the clarity of each part, and the talented abilities of each member, along with the level of intensity. (haha, I said member). Not to mention just way way way WAY kick ass tunes. Anyhoot, these guys are amazing musicians, with a flawless vocalist. They could even do "Death Metal" if they wanted. lol. No but seriously..... a BIG WOW!) 7th Penguin: "On our Wings" or any song! http://musicnation.com/music/the7thpenguin/on-our-wings (I heard 7th penguin on the 1st day of the competition. That's when I realized, that I'd better try to get as much attention as I can, by trying my hardest to be in a high ranking, because............ there's no way I'm winning this. Many artists later, they also confirmed that for me. But back to penguin. How to explain? I can't. All I can say is that this is one of the best things that I've ever heard. Original, tricky, multi genres all in one song, catchy, and everything else. Let's put it this way. They're so good...... I hate them. Because I lovem so much. The OneNeeders: "Angels coming Down" http://musicnation.com/music/randy9856/angels-coming-down2 (Okay, what I like most about these guys, are that their style is an acquired taste. But once you taste this, you'll be HOOKED! Punky-likeness of the Ramones vs The great Rock-ness of The Rolling Stones. Which both are very very VERY catchy. Just great straight forward rock n roll. The kind that's been lost for so so long! Seriously, check them out, and give it a couple of listens. You'll be pissed because.............. this freaking song will be in your head........all day! ) MiuMa: "Bad Girl" http://musicnation.com/music/miuma/bad-girl-mp3 (I have no idea who this is, or anything about this person, except the fact that it says in the bio that there's no live instruments around and it's all computer generated. As I know a lot of "live instrument" musicians don't favor that, I am very impressed with the honesty for 1, and also the fact that MiuMa has undeniable talent of arrangement, and just being great at putting a song together period! Writing skills is undeniable too. Wait a minute! I think MiuMa is not telling us everything. I suspect that this person has more music knowledge than they want us to think. I think that this might be the type of artist who just loves the pure XTC of putting out art (in a couple of different mediums I might add, as there is incredible visual art to consider too), for everyone to enjoy, while basking in the shade of a modest veil. Wanna be entertained? Check out MiuMa...... you will be very glad you did!) FIN Love always, Elliss D33
