If her voice and style must be described, it would serve well to say she ”sounds like a real feeling,” because it’s impossible to listen to her bend a lyric and bend pull that strong emotional thread through a song without feeling it the way she does.
It’s a voice that recalls the moments of Brenda Lee’s moaning cry, the bittersweet pain of Sammi Smith, the volatility of Linda Constant and the intense agony of Janice Joplin, but she has a style that is her own along with being totally awesome.
The Daughter of Alabama – born parents she is the product of a second generation North/South pairing that allows her roots of rural Dixie and of course this fast paced urban North. Her voice will soon be one of the most explosive new talents in contemporary country music.
