About This Contest (Spin)

I think it is a real shame of how bands can get to be so cut throat when it comes to contests. I have been looking around, and I see alot of hate flyin around. When it comes to voting, you should just listen to the music, if its good, vote, don't just vote because they tell you too, vote if you like it....seemed pretty simple for me to figure out....

I think what bothers me most is the desperation involved. That probably comes across as condescending, but I honestly don't mean it that way.I guess what I'd like to tell these bands is to chill out. People don't like spam. People will ignore spam. Seriously, this may sound corny as hell, but the best medicine is to worry about making the best music you can and try to make a genuine (worth repeating: genuine) connection with your fans. Winning a contest is an opportunity, and nothing more.

Not sure if that is what really counts. I'm still waiting on a reply to how all this adds up. You see bands on here with only a hundred page views and a couple dozen plays and very few picks or music and yet they are higher in the ranking then some one with thousands of page views and thousands of plays. I would think that this band would be higher in the ratings then the latter.Dek Records says
Yeah it's bad when you have to ak for votes. But never-the-less, VOTE!!! WE ARE THE WORLD!!!
