Ok, a nice feel coming in video over produced for todays market, the cut needs remastered as it hurts my ears... the video does not flatter the narcissist lead singer, the song drags on before you get any pay off... pro tools out the 1st 1/2 of the tune and you might have something recut the video without the lead singer mugging so much and you're gonna' do better... oh fuck what a boring chorus... 20%

Hey Dave, cheer up, raise your brow a bit. I think the lyrical phrase is meant in satire. The first hint we have is the song's title "Do Ya" where part of the pissy phrase "Do Ya really wanna be with me" is leaked. It's a presage to the "Do Ya" jeering that comes later in the song just before the pissy phrase is totally jingled.
"Do Ya" (really wanna be with me) does ya just fine. The song starts with the haze and daze of intriguing video and vocals. The hook sweep-picks a sweet melody run setting the sound stage for its dreamlike mesmerizing message. The report reverberates how its male character is never coming back after being stupid or asleep to have killed the love of his life, paralled by himself actually killing his life, when he falls asleep at the wheel forever on the road resulting in a fatal car accident. Consequently, all is lost -- love and life -- and so now the question once asked of his lover "do you really wanna be with me?" becomes facetious or sarcastic as their lovers' quarrel is resurrected from his death and finds new life. And so the pissy phrase takes on an ironic twist of meaning that is rich in symbolism. As fate would have it, the act of sending her away that killed his relationship is actually what might have saved her, since presumably she would have otherwise been together with him in the fatal accident. So now the sarcasm in "Do Ya... Do Ya... Do ya really wanna be with me" becomes all the more apparant considering he is dead.
This is a very creative band with rock solid songs, fresh melodies, and interesting instumental effects. In this Pistol Opera house is the Duke of drums, the Baron of base, and two Kings of guitar -- one for playing colorful chord changes and righteous rhythms and riffs; and the other, a lively lead guitar that knows how and when to stretch a mean lick...
Enjoy this great creative band.. indeed, it's worthy of our vote... :)

It took 2 minutes and 9 seconds to get to an interesting part of the song. Another band trying to do too many things and say too much in a song.
