Familiar in the Abstract is a self-produced first effort for Principles of Uncertainty dealing with the idea of life’s indoctrinations into various schools of thought (and the freeing of the self thereof), an introspective look at confronting, and possibly growing past, the paths in life that we didn't originally make decisions about on our own. More accessible than generally 'Progressive'... Principles of Uncertainty let the influences shine through while producing an original sound based in high creativity and introspective design. Prog Art? Rock? Progressive Rock? --- not specific to one but elements of all three ... and more, with influences that span from Rush and Yes to Tool to Duran Duran and beyond. Philosophy of a solo artist: Jeff -- "It's difficult to create something as a solo effort that has the feel and musical diversity of multiple, unique human inputs. There's a kind of stigma attached to solo artists for this reason, I've found.
