NEW BAD HABIT- One, if not the most requested Pyromatic songs so far. This song was written with one thing in mind, HOOKS! Hooks in the lyrics, hooks in the melody, hooks in the music, verse, chorus, you name we hooked it. This is not bragging, this is repeating what we have been told for over four years now. The song started off with Bret bringing the opening guitar riff to the table, after that, the ideas just started flooding in. Daniel started working on the music and not too long after the base for the song was complete! When the lyrics were in the 1st draft, the big question was what the song will be called. Sometimes its better to start with a title and go from there. Daniel had the title New Bad Habit for a while and thought it would fit, and it did! From there the lyrics were put to paper. After the band reconstructed a few pieces in the song, a final arrangement was selected. When the band was rehearsing the song, the guys thought the chorus needed something to give it an extra push. The idea for an attempt at a three part harmony was suggested. After practicing the vocals and hearing how it was sounding the band decided that was what the song was missing. The song is one of the major highlights in the bands live shows and continues to win over new fans every time it is played.
