Prince Poison

Date Added: May 04, 2008

Description:

PRINCE POISON is a great song all around! The guitar riff in the pre-chorus is the very first riff ever writen by Daniel Faulk back before the band was ever thought of.(1997 or 1998) Back when everyone would get together and try to play and just barely keep time together! Through the years the riff would come up in conversations, or when the guys were just jamming around, but no one had ever made the suggestion to put it in a song. Then in the winter of 2006 the band was writing some new songs for the album, and the riff resurfaced once more. The guys decided it was time to give the riff it's own song to call home. They wrote it a "sister riff" for the intro of the song and used them as the songs musical base. The band wanted to widen the variety of songs on the new album, and were very happy in the direction the (then untitled) song was going. The band had some friends that were in a more (lets just say) physical relationship than usual. They noticed that this was getting more and more the norm, so they thought the different subject matter would go great with the musical direction of the song. Using the prince charming scenario and modifying it to fit the image of the song, the title PRINCE POISON was born.
