Promise Worth Keeping

MP3 Description:

Not much to say about Promise Worth Keeping. The band knew that they wanted a ballad for the album. In early 2006 they started work on a few ideas. The band recorded two songs with the full intentions of putting both of them on the album. The idea was to have a high production song with thick background vocals and a lot of layered guitar tracks. The other would be a stripped down raw ballad. In early 2007 the band was going over songs for the new track list. When the two songs came up, the band changed their plan and only went with Promise Worth Keeping. The band felt that two ballads on the same disk as the Falling In and Out of Love track would water down the otherwise well balanced song list. Promise Worth Keeping was also picked because of its very simple and basic sound compared to the other highly polished songs. As for the other track, it might see the light of day on the next album or be released as a single sometime in the future.
