Remember When

Description:
REMEMBER WHEN- Defiantly one of the most meaningful tracks on the list! This song was almost scrapped. In late 2004 when the band was working on their demo album, Remember When was one of the last songs to make the cut. The band knew they wanted to write a song like Remember When, but every direction they took with the song led to a dead end. Late one night in December after the major work for that night was complete; Daniel and Bret were going over ideas for the song, with no success. They came to the conclusion that it would be best to cut the song until it could be given justice. They closed up and walked outside to call it a night. While preparing to go home, the topic of the song came up again, after discussing it for a few minutes an idea for the opening line of the song came up. They walked back inside and wrote it down then walked back outside once again to go home. (It was between 2 and 3 Oclock in the morning and yes, they both had to be up at 6 am) As they walked away another line came up, so they knew if the song was going to make it to the album it had to be written that night. 90% or more of what you hear on the track is what was written that night. From the start, the band always wanted to write a song to pay tribute to their childhood and friends. They made sure that every line represented some kind of relevance to their past. As stated in the bands bio each member knows each other from some point other than the band. Daniel and Bret knew each other before they started school; they have been friends for over 20 years. Waylon, Bret, and Daniel all went to school together for years and hung around with a lot of the same friends. With all that being said, its easy to see there was no shortage in song writing material to choose from. They wanted to document and preserve the memories of all those friends and years for many years to come. Hopfully when you hear the song, it helps brings back your memories as well. THIS SONG IS DEDICATED TO ALL OF OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS, PAST AND PRESENT. THOUGH SOME OF YOU ARE GONE, YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN.
