Music Nation is a Music Video Competition for Independent Artists

With Chicago being one of the most popular and respected cities in the U.S. it would only be right for its musical talent to reflect its reputation. While the likes of R. Kelly, Twista, Shawnna, Kanye West, Bump J, Lupe Fiasco & etc. are representing the Windy City to the fullest, an addition is still needed. And Ronnie DeShawn Webb, musically known as Prallem (Mind State) is here to deliver talent to fulfill needed postitions. Born on the 5th of January in 1990, the 90's baby was born and bred in Chicago, Illinois. Having moved around a lot from the south side of the city to the south side of the suburbs, Prallem has developed a worldy love and ear for music. Having to cope with every day struggles of living without, his realism comes from the reality of life in Chicago and in life period. Being able to go from nothing to something before really rising in music gives him the oppurtunity to relate to both sides as well as having the chance to reach out with more widespread views. Prallem began to show his physical love for music by playing the drums at the age of 7. By the time he was 10 his love for music went from instruments to paper. It was then when he started to develop his expressions through the "pen & pad". If it was anytime that he was off to himself he was surely writing music. After moving around a group of young men who took music as seriously as he did, his love and effort for music grew even more. As time went on Prallem found himself constantly writing and recording songs. When he entered high school, older rappers noticed his talent quickly, acknowledging him as an equal MC. Around the age of 16 people started to recognize the similarities between Prallem and his favorite rapper... Jay-Z. Prallem's realist, charming, charasmatic charateristics on and off track blended with Jay's in an undeniable way. Along with that came Prallem's "alter ego" to speak which is Mind State. Mind State is the side of Ronnie Webb that is responsible for songs such as Deep Understanding, songs with smooth, calm, laid back, vibes. With Prallem and Mind State combined listeners collect everything they anticipate and more. He is destined to become the premier artist in Rap and Chicago. With more talented and creative songs and albums on the way, Prallem is on his way...straight to the top. And in quote Prallem says "I mean I respect Jay-Z, I look at him as the literal blueprint of the perfect artist. But I rather not be compared to him closely because when I reach this level as a artist that I vision daily, there will be no artist, MC, rapper, spitta, nor writer that can breath with me"...
