This is a really great song Ren, and the guitar sounds great. I remember those black strings, and the gold ones too. Yea, and it is alot of fun - how could he not love it? And more amazing, if you have the same cold I do, that you can do anything at all. Guess I shouldn't have gone surfing last week!
This song has as depth of retrospection that is quite intimate and very powerful as a reflection of unconditional love ~ & think of how the times have changed ... I believe this is the girl (her her her) whistling at the guy ~ (me me me) !!!!!!!
Just a little explanation...I wrote this song for the Chevy competition. Unfortunately I'm in the middle of a nasty cold so the results are pretty...cute. Actually I had great fun writing and playing all the instruments, you'll see. There is a better story behind this though. Almost one month ago I lost my dad, who had heart problems for awhile. My brother had fished out a special guitar of my dad's for me, an Ovation guitar with gold strings. As a child I wasn't supposed to play it, although I remember getting a couple of strums in here and there when no one was looking. Well, I took this special guitar and restrung it with some black strings that I had held onto for some crazy reason. This is the first song I wrote on it and the first recording I'll make playing my father's guitar. I hope he likes it. I hope you like it too.
