Music Nation is a Music Video Competition for Independent Artists

RICHARD ALLEN MCGEE was born in Yonkers, New York, moved to Calif. in 1967 and began singing, when he started school, at the age of 4. He sang in many choirs throughout school until his graduation from junior college in 1983. Richard always thought he'd be a secular "singing star". God, however, had other plans for him. Growing in frustration with the lack of success pursuing his musical dreams, he got on his knees, before God, and asked "What do You want me to do?". God, speaking to his soul, told him," you need to sing for My glory, not for yours. In 1993 Richard FINALLY listened. He began singing in churches, starting in San Diego, California, making his way up the West coast, arriving in Seattle, Wa. in 1996. In 1997 He moved to Miami, Fl where thing really started to pick up. Richard Allen McGee now lives in Ft. Myers, Fl and works as a music director for St. Paul's Church where he has been for 8 years. His music strives to glorify God with no denominational or political agenda. He's just, as he says, “A guy who loves to sing for God". If there's an opportunity to sing, he will. His music incorporates a mixture of Easy listening, with a bit of an R&B feel, with a sprinkle of Rock. He has been influenced by just about everyone he's listened to but, his favorites included Michael W. Smith, Chris Tomlin, Fleetwood Mac, and Old Skool Motown.
