Spin Hot Pursuit - Bye Week

"The Rich Love Band" began as a fiction music group on January 1st of 2006 written into a screenplay called "An Amazing Dream." It is the story of a seeker's inner journey to the Master an Indian guru from India that claimed to be God incarnated. In real life there was such a God-Man named Avatar Meher Baba which influenced Pete Townshend from "The Who" to write "Tommy" the rock opera. My vision for /writing the screenplay was to take a modern day Tommy (Rich Love) and make him a rock star that leaves behind a life of self-destruction and follows the messages of love provided by the Ancient One. As the protagonist evolves in the story with his music he transcends the world by becoming as big as The Beatles. This is where we as an audience get to experience on the big screen how life might look if love and peace ruled the planet as described in John Lennon's song "Imagine." In the end, the hero is forced to face his true destiny of living with bipolar disorder. Of course, at the time, I (Rich Hess) didn't know or understand what the climax was until I found myself lost inside my own imagination. So as I transfer dream into reality I have written an eleven song concept album called "Transcendence." I believe so deeply in this vision that I have legally changed my name from Richard James Hess to simply Rich Love. At the moment, I'm working with a professional musician (JR HomeBassAudio) in the studio recording the demos and final mixes (posted on http://musicnation.com/music/richloveband). The project began in March of 2008 and completion is set for 2010 or sooner if I can find investors or a record deal. I have written all the lyrics (posted on site) and the blueprint of music direction. I was born on September 7th 1968 in Culver City Los Angeles at 02:21 hours. I lived there for a period of five years then moved back to my single mother’s home of Minneapolis. I grew up with music influences provided by my mother’s boyfriend at the time Greg Stone (Alpha Production) the man who bought me my first guitar at age 10. Shortly after I experienced myself in the presence of a young man known as Prince…my uncle Owen Husney was the one who taught me the two chords in The Who’s “My Generation.” By my teens I found myself experimenting with LSD and other goodies while beginning my journey of reading Meher Baba books. As an adult I began injecting cocaine on and off for a period of fifteen years playing the role of a Savage Gentleman (a possible book in the future). I have worked in all levels of security services including a brief encounter as a Hennepin County security dispatcher. In 2003, I landed a very cool job in security for the Minneapolis College of Art & Design which inspired me to try my hand at film acting and I have been involved with local film projects since then. Two weeks after writing the outline of my screenplay I became extremely happy about my work and spent the following year in and out of the psych ward writing the songs. Some of my tunes began around the time of 9/11, but when the smoke cleared I realized that all my music and lyrics connect on a higher level revealing a subconscious effort of creativity. I had been clean and sober six months after 25 years of wandering before my ordeal, but I had lost 60 lbs within four months due to using meth. These experiences set off something in my head and enter into my heart inspiring me to rise above hope by not believing the doctors and other people who don’t realize that facts don’t always reveal the truth.     First of all, I wanna thank each and everyone of you for your comments on my songs, and also for voting for Love Sex n Death and Tea Leaf. Even when LSD was in first, you never stopped voting for your "opponent", which shows the character and heart of a true blue artist. Not just for you to see, but also for myself, to show my appreciation for you, you can bet your asses that I am voting like a mofo for all of the artists that has been there for me. Even ones that I don't know. Hell, even in the GAC. I'm also voting in the H2H on behalf of my project Tea Leaf too! I will say with the up most confidence that there's a majority of you all, who I've voted for more times than myself. It would prolly be different if my song came up more, but just cuz it hasn't that doesn't refrain me from voting for you, in as many multiples as I am given. A combo of R&R, Country, and Blues with aggressive vocals (and a belch) this song has great lyrics, and a very foot tappin beat. This....... I can def DIG!) The voice, the sound, the hooks, the melody, the whole song just screams, timeless greatness. I can't see anyone not liking this.) Leave Me as You Found Me: "LMAYFM" http://musicnation.com/music/lmayfm/lmayfm3 (Although I was very partial to the Industrial sound and lyrics of painful experiences, as I have almost the exact kind of thing going, (his album titled "Die,Bitch" and mine being "Music to be Murdered by"), this solo project of Dremaceo Giles hit me in all areas. With very aggressive vocals, LMAYFM explores rock with a little more of the electro side. Style reminiscent of Nine Inch Nails, and sometimes even his voice, but with a lot more variations, as sometimes you could even put it to HardCore, which makes you really feel the anger and pain. I felt like I could understand this 100%.) P-nut Butta: "Dimebag" http://musicnation.com/music/buttaman222/dimebag (With a sound like RHCP, 24-7 Spyz, Living Colour, Body Count, and Anthrax- this Hip Hop artist blows your fucking mind with this incredible Funky Metal sound, that features kickin basslines and a flow of rhymes that will make you say, "FUCK YEAH!". Some really cool changes and rippin guitar work too. This is another "all arounder".) Kentavius Jones: "Floor" http://musicnation.com/music/kentavius/floor (A perfect name for this song, as I was fucking floored by this incredible artist. A mixture of Funk, Soul, and Old School R&B, he reminded me of greats such as Marvin Gaye, Al Green, and Terrance Trent D'arby. How the hell this man isn't already on a major label is beyond me.
