First, this song is my heartfelt tribute to our brothers and sisters in the military. I have friends overseas right now, and I can only wish godspeed to their safe return home. Second, please let me stress I am not a lead singer, and I have no aspirations to be one, I usually sing harmony, and even then, usually no more than I can get away with. This is my first home-recorded original tune, me and a drum machine (no MIDI), and this song is a first for me in almost every way- from writing the lyrics to singing lead on a recording, and singing my own harmonies to recording my own bass track. I had a great time doing it, it has been a terrific learning vehicle for me, and I will cheerfully accept all constructive criticism. Please tell me what you think.
