Guitar Player micro Review

To everyone out here who I have recently met and all others too, just want you to know that my piece "Cold Fusion (Chocolate Milk)", which is on my page here, is reviewed in the Feb. issue of GP magazine, in the myspace review section, on shelves soon. The review is almost as intense as the tune, so go find it and have a good laugh. It's very positive, but also surreal. I'll post it sometime soon, but I don't even have it yet.

I feel pretty lucky because on the cover is Jimmy Page, there is an article inside about McLaughlin, and it's my birthday in Feb. What could be better than that?

Additionally, I feel the need for a DISCLAIMER:

No LSD, Steroids, or Crack was used during the sessions. Also, no small animals were harmed. You'll understand this when you see it...

Thanks everyone, love the music out here, BZ

Sometimes, I help, especially when helping is easy to do because I want to help. Here is how I like to help Artists on Music Nation. This is one guitar you'll want to hear.
How does one describe a guitar player that has evolved? Does one address him or her as a MASTER? Well, that much is obvious but to really appreciate the skill that is required all one has to do is listen to understand commonality is thrown out the window and is replaced by the intricate layering of sonics very few can create let alone imagine. My love of music tells me this when I hear it. Robert Tiernan is one such guitarist. I have just learned of Robert’s ability from a recent post he made on Music Nation. I went to his Artist’s page there to listen to his three songs and discovered a welcoming universe. His first offering Cold Fusion makes me say, whew Cold Fusion is right. There are so many dynamics going on in this song. Cold Fusion is evolutionary as your skills are many layers above what I normally hear and that is where there is a niche filter. Free flowing, rich, dynamic, major chord warmth, and woven tradeoffs comprise this mosaic of a song. I like it a lot. I have only recently been privileged to play with people who might have the skill to make a song like this. Thanks for allowing us to listen. When listening to Shimmer, Shiver, Shine I say Robert Tiernan takes us to a place that very few, maybe a handful in the world could transport us to so that we might explore that great space between the notes of this exciting pliable emotional journey. Answering piano with duplicate dexterity provides a tapestry seldom available. Shimmer, Shiver, Shine is a lambent vibrating quiver of interstitial emotion. I love it. I hope all the world gets to hear Robert play as I know they will love it too. Finally, I say to the world, wow Robert, to be able to express beta mood renderings on Jam 293 so easily is quite a talent. I enjoyed this song with its exploration, valleys, canyons, and flow. You make me feel the notes. You make me want to listen. You make me wonder if I can fill in the parts before I hear them. You make me hear in color. You make me wonder what phrase will linger in the vestigial recesses of my brain. You make me SMILE and that is the greatest musical gift any artist can impart. Best of wishes to you. - Mark

I hope they did you the justice you deserve, man... sounds like they may have fell a little short of that, though...

Thanks guys. Holworks, your review is Light Years better than what they wrote, and I would have LOVED that to be what Thousands of people read. Light Years man. As soon as I get a copy I'll put it out here. You'll see. If you are on myspace and want to put YOUR review on Micheal Molenda's (editor of GP) comment page, it would shame him!

I told you, The MASTER plays and Jimmy listens. What could be better than that? Best of luck Robert. Guess they were more thorough than me on my review. Good!
