JIMI HENDRIX

I just wanted to express the pleasure I get from seeing HENDRIX listed SO many times as an influence on so many pages out here, and especially from the young people. In a world with seemingly little taste for ART, this is a SIGN that things are changing, in my eyes at least.

It has inspired me to dig out old tapes of music performed at anonymous clubs from my past and in doing so, I found a version of Red House performed in the early 90's when I was jammin' with Michelle and Book Of Runes in Denver for a while during that period. Michelle can sing her ass off, and while it didn't last too long in this configuration, I am, as ALWAYS, SO happy that things got recorded.

A small bit of advice for everyone: RECORD EVERYTHING, OR AS MUCH AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN!

Jimi's music is timeless and will be around forever, for he was an artist concerned with the state of humans being, and never lost his curiosity about our origins or his hope for a future of peace and love. He traveled the outskirts of infinity and brought back some of the clearest visions of it anyone will ever experience.

Thank you Jimi, RRT

some say SRV was the greatests guitar player ever, but he was a Hendrix fan. an SRV strat has a left-handed tremello( how do you spell that, you know, the whammy bar) to try to be more like Hendrix.
maybee not record EVERYTHING, but record, record alot.... and save it! don't erase it. All great bands should have a song about fire. Rock Out! ---B

Hendrix is great. Lately, the majority of my music has been influenced by someone from that whole summer of love time period. Hendrix was definitely a master. One of my personal favorites is Little Wing. If you really listen to it closely, it has more levels than you'd think. That one (and most of the songs off Axis) is just a pure, beautiful song. Your version of Red HOuse is coo.
